Dhurandhar Box Office Collection
Dhurandhar is an action thriller drama set against the historical events of either the notorious hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC 814 in 1999, or of the terrorist attack on India’s Parliament in December 2001. One young Punjabi man’s journey takes him deep into the shadows of organised crime, where he must face treachery and betrayal in order to protect his country from the evil he discovers; each chapter of this riveting tale reveals new and unexpected twists and turns, as well as dramatic moments of suspense, emotion, and sheer excitement.

The intense visual style adopted for both the cinematography and the sound design is further enhanced by an extreme attention to detail and a combination, or juxtaposition, of traditional Punjabi folk sounds with contemporary hip hop styles. Finally, the film contains many separate narratives, providing ample opportunities for unexpected developments and outcomes, rather than following a traditional directional course. Prior to its release, Dhurandhar was subject to much controversy, stemming from the alleged misrepresentation of Major Mohit Sharma’s story, which required the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to review the film and grant clearance with minor edits and an adult “A” rating.
