The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw will take place on December 5, 2025, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., starting at 12:00 PM ET. The newly expanded 48 team competition will see teams divided into four pots of 12, based on rankings, confederation rules, and host allocations, and then drawn into 12 groups of four teams each. As the hosts, the United States, Canada, and Mexico will go into separate groups as part of Pot 1, while the other teams fill Pots 2 through 4. Standard draw restrictions apply; meaning most teams from the same confederation cannot be put into the same group except UEFA nations, of which up to two can share a group. It will also be broadcast around the world via official FIFA and partner channels, giving the world’s fans the chance to follow the unveiling of the groups for football’s largest ever World Cup.
